'Amazon Tax' could harm 5G broadband buildout

The White House may resurface prior suggestions to alter the corporation tax program as the November elections near.

To guarantee that all firms pay each year, one component, dubbed the "Amazon tax,"

would levy a 15% minimum tax on major organizations' book income (the money presented to investors on financial statements) rather than taxable income.

This inclination may appear to be egalitarian.

However, due to a flaw in the accounting regulations that control spectrum licensing,

this plan unfairly hurts wireless industries and may inhibit internet buildout.
