Due to a pilot shortage, American Airlines would reduce service to four locations.
As of September 7, the airline will no longer serve New York's Islip
and Ithaca, as well as Toledo, Ohio, and Dubuque, Iowa.
AA's regional affiliates presently service all four locations,
with up to two daily flights to bigger hubs.
"We have 100 regional aircraft on the ground that we want to fly but can't because we don't have enough regional pilots," said American Airlines spokesperson Brian Metham in a statement.
