Gas at California station nears $10 per gallon

Gas at one California station is quickly reaching the previously inconceivable $10 per gallon mark.

At a Chevron station in rural Mendocino, prices are roughly $9.50 per gallon.

The nearly double-digit price of a gallon of petrol is maybe the highest

ever recorded in the United States' continuing energy crisis.

The Chevron owner spoke to Fox 11 Los Angeles about the difficulty of selling gas in remote areas of California,

where he believes transportation and pipeline access have driven up the price of his fuel.
