George Russell: F1 must learn lessons from Zhou Guanyu crash

According to George Russell, lessons about safety must be taken away from Zhou Guanyu's catastrophic crash at the British Grand Prix.

His automobile jumps a fence and becomes wedged in a narrow opening.

When Russell and Pierre Gasly collided with Zhou, the Alfa Romeo car was turned upside down and went off the circuit.

After the collision, Zhou's automobile was stuck while being extricated, and Russell fled from his vehicle to the tire barrier.

Russell, who serves as a director for the Grand Prix Drivers' Association, said: "It was dreadful, in that situation he was locked there, there was nothing he could have done."
