Mexico's Maya train stalls as legal battle drags

A Mexican judge has dealt another setback to the Maya railway project,

which intends to connect ancient sites with Mexican beach resorts.

The judge ordered that building work on a section of the train line be halted until the environmental effect is evaluated.

The decision is a triumph for a group of cave divers who are concerned

that the construction may endanger underground caves.

One of Mexico's most ambitious infrastructure projects is the Maya railway.
