Nearly 75 percent of natural gas from the US has been sold to Europe

Republicans have slammed President Joe Biden for blaming Russia for rising oil and gas prices. 

Russian oil and gas are rarely used in the United States.

However, oil and gas are global commodities traded on a worldwide market.

So, when Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm emphasized that the war was to blame for high costs,

 she detailed how the United States is now competing with other nations in the purchase of oil and gas.

According to Bloomberg News, Granholm was correct about where oil and gas are going — and it isn't staying at home.
