Phoenix pilot killed after plane crashes near Los Angeles

PHOENIX (CBS 5) – Authorities are investigating after a Phoenix-bound

jet crashed in a California field early Friday morning. 

The jet hit a structure on the south side of the 101 highway after taking off

from Camarillo Airport, according to the Ventura County Fire Department.

The plane crashed in a field just north of the motorway. Parts of the plane were discovered on the roof of the building hit by the plane.
