Ram is discontinuing this classic pickup style

For the 2023 model year, the truck manufacturer will no longer offer its 1500 pickup in two-door conventional cab, short (six-foot, four-inch) bed format.

It is now available on the Ram 1500 Classic, a vehicle from the previous generation that debuted in 2009.

It is offered as a low-cost alternative to the most recent Ram 1500, which made its debut in 2019.

When Mopar Insiders noticed that the option was absent from the fleet ordering guide for the following year, it broke the story. Ram has subsequently verified the action.

Ram has not given a rationale for the modification.

The market has changed away from two-door, short bed trucks and toward four-door trucks.
