Robbie Coltrane, who was well-known for his part in the "Harry Potter" movie series, has passed away.
His death at the age of 72 was confirmed by the actor's management company, WME, to Fox News Digital.
Coltrane passed away on Friday at a hospital in Scotland, according to his agent Belinda Wright. She omitted a reason.
Coltrane was born in Glasgow, and when he was 12 years old, he made his acting debut.
He attended Glasgow Art School and later made appearances on "Flash Gordon," "Keep It in the Family," and "Blackadder" on television.
He kept establishing himself thanks to parts in "Alfresco" and "The Comic Strip."
