Summer is just around the bend, which means it's time to crank up the air conditioning.
However, with energy costs rising, cooling the house in the midst
of the searing summer heat would cost more than normal.
According to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA),
energy prices in the United States will rise by 3.9 percent on average this summer.
According to the EIA, the average family is predicted to spend 0.9 percent more on power this summer than they did in summer 2021.
