Tesla has started reducing its personnel in earnest after CEO Elon Musk declared earlier this month that he planned to slash 10% of his workforce due to a "very terrible feeling" about the economy.
Insider discovered 11 LinkedIn entries from Tesla employees on Wednesday morning, all claiming to have been laid off as part of the layoffs.
According to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Tesla is well on its way to reducing its staff, which stood at 100,000 by the end of 2021.
The layoffs appear to have started last week and are now picking up speed. Nine of the articles were published this week, with two appearing late last week.
The company's LinkedIn entries were from a project lead, a CGI animation lead, staff trainers, and a regional warehouse manager, among others.
Tesla employees that posted on LinkedIn looked to have a wide spectrum of experience.
