This dog has something to brag about right now.
On Wednesday evening, Trumpet, a bloodhound, took first place in the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
In order to win the prize, Trumpet outcompeted a French bulldog, a German shepherd, a Maltese, an English setter, a Samoyed, and a Lakeland terrier.
Trumpet's handler Heather Helmer, who co-owns and bred the 4-year-old, expressed her excitement for the horse.
The first bloodhound to win Westminster was Trumpet.
The second-place finisher in the country's most prestigious dog show was Winston, a French bulldog owned in part by NFL defensive tackle Morgan Fox.
