Schlafer said that she would go out of business if she didn't charge $9.60 per gallon.
"I'll be lucky if I make it through the year with all the taxes, regulations,
and payroll expenses," she told SF Gate.
"If things continue as they are, Mendocino will not have a gas station next year."
According to SF Gate, Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum research at Gas Buddy,
"Without a question, it's the most expensive gas in the country."
